How do I remove credit card from Amazon marketing service

Sep 18

Amazon Marketing Service (AMS) is a self-serve advertising platform that helps you advertise your products on Amazon and helps in amazon account management. It’s easy to set up and offers a variety of options for reaching customers. However, if you’re not using AMS to its full potential or if you don’t have time to manage it yourself, there are other ways to promote your products. One option is to remove your credit card from AMS so that you can use Amazon Pay for advertising instead.

Amazon Marketing Service (AMS) is free to set up and use, but it does require that you input your credit card information.

A reputable ecommerce consulting agency like Urtasker will guide you about the reasons in a very detailed manner. Here are some reasons why you might want to remove your credit card from AMS:

  1. You don't want people to see your credit card number on their receipts
  2. You maintain a low balance on your credit card, and don't want the service to charge more than what's available in case something goes wrong
  3. You prefer not to have a payment method associated with your account

However, if you want to delete an ad from AMS, it can be done by removing the product from your inventory or by turning off the ad campaign associated with it. Here’s how:

Sign in to your Amazon Advertising account

  • Sign in to your Amazon Advertising account.
  • Click Account Settings.
  • Click Payment settings.
  • Click the pencil icon on the payment method you'd like to update or remove.

Click the down arrow by your username (upper right corner)

  • Click the down arrow by your username (upper right corner).
  • Click Your Account and then click Settings.
  • On the Manage Payment Options page, select the credit card you want to remove from your account, and then click Remove Card.

Click Account Settings

To update or remove a credit card from your Amazon Marketing Services account:

  • Click Account Settings.
  • Click Payment Settings.
  • Click the pencil icon next to the payment method you'd like to update or remove, and then make your changes as necessary.

Click Payment settings

  • Click the down arrow by your username (upper right corner).
  • Click Account Settings.
  • Click Payment settings.
  • Click the pencil icon on the payment method you'd like to update or remove. (You can't edit or remove your last remaining credit card on file.)

You can't edit or remove a payment method that you've already deleted.

To edit your payment method details:

  • Click the pencil icon on the payment method you'd like to update or remove. If you're removing a credit card or bank account, we'll try to confirm with them before permanently deleting it from Amazon Pay. If we can't reach them by email within a few days, we'll automatically delete this information from your account without further action on your part.
  • Select Edit next to Payment Method Details in order to change any of these items (except for Personalization if it already has been selected): Card Number, Account Number, Expiration Date (MM/YY), Name On Card (as long as all characters are numeric), Security Code (*which consists of 3-4 digits printed inside back side)
  • The credit card you've linked to your Amazon Marketing Services account is your primary payment method. You can't deactivate or remove it from your account, so if you want to switch payment methods, you'll need to start over with a new account.
  • If you decide that AMS isn't right for you, you can cancel at any time. You can also pause your campaigns for up to 90 days without losing their progress and resume them later if needed.

To Edit: Update your card number and expiration date then click Save changes.

To Edit:

  • Update your card number and expiration date then click Save changes.
  • Change the name on the card. To do this, you will need to know the original holder’s name, billing address, and social security number (for identification). You can also update their mailing information if necessary.
  • Change the billing address for your card account by entering a new billing address for yourself or for another person in charge of paying off credit bills. If you have multiple cards linked to one account, enter all of their addresses here as well so that Amazon knows where to send future statements and bills from them as well!
  • Change credit limit is another feature available under “edit” options within your Amazon account settings page which allows users with multiple accounts connected under single user ID to change the credit limit and usage of each account. This is helpful if you want to make sure that no single card gets too close to its limit while also giving yourself room for additional spending. If you’re unsure how much credit your account has or have never changed it before, call Amazon customer service at 1-888-280-4331 or go through their online chat option with a representative to find out more about this feature!
