Microblading is a popular way to create perfectly defined, fuller eyebrows that look like your real ones. It’s also known as eyebrow embroidery, feathering, and 3D eyebrows. Unlike traditional tattooing, this technique uses a hand-held tool to make minuscule, hair-like strokes of pigment that mimic the appearance of actual eyebrow hairs for a naturally feathered effect. Whether you have sparse eyebrows, alopecia, or just want to save time in the morning, this semi-permanent procedure is an amazing solution.
The first step in the treatment is a quick consultation to discuss your desired results. Your artist will then draw on the potential work and measure the brows to ensure that they’ll fit your unique face shape. Then, anesthetic is applied to minimize any discomfort. Then, initial strokes/passes are placed and an additional color is added until the brows look perfect. An aftercare balm is then applied to help the skin heal. The resulting results can last up to three years, but an annual touch-up is recommended in order to keep the brows looking their best.
If you have an eye condition such as alopecia or psoriasis, lash enhancement liner may be a good option for you. During this process, your artist will tattoo a thin line along the eyelash line to create the illusion of fuller lashes. It’s sometimes referred to as invisible eyeliner, as the results look very subtle and natural.
To get the most out of your lash enhancement liner, be sure to follow any instructions from your artist. It’s important to keep the area clean and avoid using any other eye makeup until it’s healed, which typically takes a week or so. It’s also important to avoid anything that could cause a rash or irritation near the area, as it can affect the quality of your final result.
